सुन्दरकाण्ड 5.49

हे लंकेश, सुनो! सभी गुण तुममें हैं; इसलिए तुम मुझे अत्यंत प्रिय हो।

Listen, lord of Lanka! All these virtues are in you; therefore you are exceedingly dear to me.

राम के वचन सुनकर सभी वानर-समूह कहते हैं, ‘कृपा की राशि की जय हो!’

Hearing Rama’s words, all the monkey bands proclaim, ‘Glory to the embodiment of compassion!’

प्रभु की वाणी को कानों के लिए अमृत जानकर विभीषण सुनते-सुनते भी तृप्त नहीं होते।

Recognizing the Lord’s words as nectar for the ears, Vibhishana cannot hear enough of them.

वे बार-बार प्रभु के चरण-कमल पकड़ते हैं; उनका अपार प्रेम हृदय में समाता नहीं।

He repeatedly clasps the Lord’s lotus feet; his boundless love cannot be contained within his heart.

हे देव, चर-अचर जगत के स्वामी, शरणागतों के रक्षक और हृदय के भीतर की बात जानने वाले, सुनिए।

Hear me, Lord, master of all moving and unmoving creation, protector of those who seek refuge, and knower of the heart’s innermost thoughts.

पहले हृदय में कुछ अभिलाषा थी; वह प्रभु के चरणों के प्रेम की नदी में बह गई।

Previously, some desire remained in my heart; it has been swept away in the river of love for the Lord’s feet.
