हे स्वामी! मैं रावण का भाई हूँ। हे देवताओं के रक्षक! मेरा जन्म राक्षस वंश में हुआ है।

मेरी देह तमोगुणी है और मैं स्वभाव से पापप्रिय हूँ, जैसे उल्लू को अंधकार से प्रेम होता है।

My body is dominated by darkness and inertia, and I am naturally drawn to sin, just as an owl loves the dark.

हे प्रभु, संसार के भय को दूर करने वाले! आपका सुंदर यश कानों से सुनकर मैं आया हूँ।

हे संकट हरने वाले और शरण में सुख देने वाले रघुवीर! मेरी रक्षा कीजिए, रक्षा कीजिए।
