सुन्दरकाण्ड 5.26

हे पार्वती! हनुमान उसके दूत हैं जिसने अग्नि की रचना की; इसी कारण वे स्वयं नहीं जले।

O Parvati, Hanuman is the messenger of the one who created fire; for that reason, he himself did not burn.

इधर-उधर घूमकर हनुमान ने सारी लंका जला दी; फिर वे समुद्र में कूद पड़े।

Moving back and forth, Hanuman burned all of Lanka; then he jumped into the sea.

पूँछ की आग बुझाकर, थकान दूर करके और फिर छोटा रूप धारण करके,

After extinguishing the fire on his tail, relieving his fatigue, and assuming a small form again,

हनुमान जनक की पुत्री सीता के सामने हाथ जोड़कर खड़े हो गए।

Hanuman stood before Sita, Janaka’s daughter, with his hands joined.
