जो देवताओं के रक्षक हैं और तुम्हारे जैसे मूर्खों को सीख देने के लिए विविध देह धारण करते हैं—

Who protects the gods and assumes various bodily forms to teach fools like you a lesson—

जिन्होंने शिव का कठोर धनुष तोड़ा और उसके साथ ही राजाओं के समूह का अहंकार भी चूर कर दिया—

Who broke Shiva’s mighty bow and, along with it, shattered the pride of the assembled kings—

जिन्होंने खर, दूषण, त्रिशिरा और बालि—इन सभी अतुल बल वालों को मार डाला—

Who slew Khara, Dushana, Trishira, and Bali, all warriors of incomparable strength—

जिसके बल के अत्यल्प अंश से तुमने समस्त चर-अचर जगत को जीत लिया—

By a mere tiny fraction of whose power you conquered the entire moving and unmoving world—

मैं उन्हीं का दूत हूँ, जिनकी प्रिय पत्नी को तुम हरकर ले आए हो।

I am the messenger of that very one whose beloved wife you abducted and brought here.
