देवता और दिशाओं के रक्षक विनीत होकर हाथ जोड़े खड़े थे; सब भयभीत होकर रावण की भौंहों की ओर देख रहे थे।

The gods and guardians of the directions stood humbly with folded hands; all watched Ravana’s brows in fear.

रावण का प्रताप देखकर भी हनुमान के मन में भय नहीं था, जैसे सर्पों के समूह के बीच गरुड़ निर्भय रहते हैं।

Even on seeing Ravana’s might, Hanuman felt no fear, just as Garuda remains fearless among a host of serpents.

हनुमान को देखकर रावण दुर्वचन कहते हुए हँसा।

Seeing Hanuman, Ravana laughed while uttering insulting words.

फिर उसने अपने पुत्र के वध को याद किया और उसके हृदय में शोक उत्पन्न हो गया।

Then he remembered his son’s killing, and sorrow arose in his heart.
