सुन्दरकाण्ड 5.14

सीता से शब्द नहीं निकलते; आँखें आँसुओं से भर गई हैं। वे कहती हैं, ‘हाय नाथ! आपने मुझे बिल्कुल भुला दिया।’

Sita cannot speak; her eyes fill with tears. She laments, ‘Alas, my lord! You have utterly forgotten me.’

सीता को विरह से अत्यंत व्याकुल देखकर हनुमान कोमल और विनम्र वचन बोले।

Seeing Sita deeply distressed by separation, Hanuman spoke gentle, humble words.

हे माता! प्रभु राम अपने छोटे भाई सहित कुशल हैं। वे कृपा के धाम हैं और आपके दुख से दुखी हैं।

Mother, Lord Rama is well, together with his younger brother. An abode of gracious compassion, he grieves at your sorrow.

हे माता! अपने मन में उनके प्रेम को कम मत समझिए। राम का प्रेम आपके प्रेम से दुगुना है।

Mother, do not think in your heart that his love is deficient. Rama’s love is twice yours.

हे माता! अब धैर्य धारण करके राम का संदेश सुनिए।

Mother, now steady yourself and hear Rama’s message.

ऐसा कहकर हनुमान भावावेश से गद्गद हो गए और उनकी आँखें आँसुओं से भर गईं।

Saying this, Hanuman became choked with emotion, and his eyes filled with tears.
