लङ्काकाण्ड 6.59

बाण लगते ही हनुमान मूर्छित होकर धरती पर गिर पड़े, रघुनायक राम का नाम ‘राम, राम’ स्मरण करते हुए।

Struck by the arrow, Hanuman fell unconscious to the ground, remembering Rama, lord of Raghu’s line, with the words “Rama, Rama.”

वे प्रिय वचन सुनकर भरत दौड़े और अत्यंत व्याकुल होकर हनुमान के पास आए।

Hearing those dear words, Bharata rushed over and came to Hanuman in great distress.

हनुमान को अचेत और व्यथित देखकर भरत ने उन्हें छाती से लगा लिया। वे जाग नहीं रहे थे, तो भरत ने उन्हें अनेक प्रकार से जगाने का प्रयत्न किया।

Seeing Hanuman helpless and unconscious, Bharata clasped him to his chest. Hanuman did not awaken, though Bharata tried many ways to rouse him.

भरत का मुख उदास हो गया और वे मन में दुःखी हुए। आँखों में आँसू भरकर वे बोले।

Bharata’s face grew downcast, and he became sorrowful at heart. With tears filling his eyes, he spoke.

भरत बोले, ‘जिस विधाता ने मुझे राम से विमुख अर्थात उनसे अलग किया, उसी ने फिर यह भयंकर दुःख दिया।’

Bharata said, “The same fate that separated me from Rama has now given me this terrible sorrow.”

यदि मेरे मन, वचन और शरीर में राम के कमल जैसे चरणों के प्रति निष्कपट प्रेम है—

If in my mind, speech, and body there is sincere love for Rama’s lotus feet—
