हे उमा, राम की भौंहों की चेष्टा से विश्व उत्पन्न होता है और फिर नाश को प्राप्त होता है।

O Uma, through the movement of Rama’s brow, the universe comes into being and then meets destruction.

जो तिनके को वज्र और वज्र को तिनका कर देते हैं, उनके दूत की प्रतिज्ञा कैसे टल सकती है—बताओ?

He turns a blade of grass into a thunderbolt and a thunderbolt into grass. Tell me, how could his messenger’s pledge fail?

फिर अंगद ने अनेक प्रकार से नीति की बातें कहीं, पर रावण ने नहीं माना; उसकी मृत्यु निकट आ गई थी।

Angada then offered sound counsel in many ways, but Ravana would not heed it; his death had drawn near.

शत्रु का अहंकार चूर करके अंगद ने प्रभु राम का उत्तम यश सुनाया। आगे के वचन कहकर राजा बालि का पुत्र चल पड़ा।

Crushing the enemy’s pride, Angada proclaimed Lord Rama’s noble glory. Speaking the following words, the son of King Bali departed.

‘तुझे युद्धभूमि में बार-बार खेल की तरह लड़ाकर मारूँगा; अभी तेरी क्या बड़ाई करूँ?’

‘I shall kill you on the battlefield after making you fight as though in repeated play; why praise you now?’

अंगद ने पहले ही रावण के पुत्र को मार डाला था। यह सुनकर रावण दुखी हो गया।

Angada had already killed Ravana’s son. Hearing this, Ravana became distressed.
