जो शिव से द्वेष करता है और मेरा भक्त कहलाता है, वह मनुष्य स्वप्न में भी मुझे नहीं पाता।

Anyone who is hostile to Shiva yet calls himself my devotee does not attain me even in a dream.

जो शंकर से विमुख होकर मेरी भक्ति चाहता है, वह नरक का भागी, मूर्ख और अल्पबुद्धि है।

Anyone who turns away from Shiva yet desires devotion to me is destined for hell, foolish, and of little understanding.

जो शंकर को प्रिय मानते हैं पर मुझसे द्वेष करते हैं, और जो शिव से द्वेष करते हैं पर मेरे दास कहलाते हैं—

Those who hold Shiva dear but are hostile to me, and those who are hostile to Shiva but call themselves my servants—

वे मनुष्य एक कल्प भर भयंकर नरक में निवास करते हैं।

Those people dwell in a terrible hell for an entire cosmic age.
