अठारह भार वनस्पतियाँ उनके रोमों की पंक्ति हैं; पर्वत उनकी हड्डियाँ और नदियाँ उनकी नसों का जाल हैं।

The eighteen loads of vegetation are the rows of his body hair; mountains are his bones, and rivers the network of his veins.

समुद्र उनका उदर और अधोभाग की इंद्रियाँ यातना हैं। प्रभु पूरे जगत में व्याप्त हैं—और अधिक वर्णन क्या किया जाए?

The ocean is his belly, and torment constitutes his lower organs. The Lord encompasses the world—what need is there for further elaboration?

शिव उनका अहंकार, ब्रह्मा उनकी बुद्धि, चंद्रमा उनका मन और महत्तत्त्व उनका चित्त है।

Shiva is his ego-sense, Brahma his intellect, the moon his mind, and the cosmic principle of mahat his consciousness.

भगवान राम मनुष्य का वेश धारण किए हैं; उनका स्वरूप समस्त चर-अचर जगत है।

Lord Rama wears a human guise; his form is the entire world of moving and unmoving beings.

हे प्राणप्रिय पति, ऐसा विचार करके सुनिए और प्रभु से वैर छोड़ दीजिए।

Beloved husband, consider this and listen; abandon hostility toward the Lord.

रघुवीर के चरणों से प्रेम कीजिए, ताकि मेरा सौभाग्य—पति का जीवित रहना—न छिन जाए।

Love the feet of Rama, the hero of Raghu’s lineage, so that I do not lose the blessing of having my husband alive.
