उन्होंने सीता को अनेक प्रकार के आभूषण पहनाए और फिर सुंदर पालकी सजाकर ले आए।

They adorned Sita with many kinds of ornaments, then prepared and brought a beautiful palanquin.

सुख के धाम, स्नेही राम को स्मरण करके सीता हर्षपूर्वक उस पालकी पर चढ़ीं।

Remembering loving Rama, the abode of happiness, Sita joyfully mounted that palanquin.

चारों ओर हाथों में बेंत लिए रक्षक थे; सब मन में अत्यंत उल्लास लेकर चले।

Guards holding canes stood on all four sides; everyone proceeded with great joy in their hearts.

सीता को देखने सभी भालू और वानर आ गए; रक्षक क्रोधित होकर उन्हें रोकने दौड़े।

All the bears and monkeys came to see Sita; the guards angrily rushed to keep them back.

राम ने कहा, ‘मेरा कहा मानो, मित्र; सीता को पैदल ले आओ।’

Rama said, ‘Heed my words, friend; bring Sita on foot.’

स्वामी रघुनाथ ने मुस्कराकर कहा, ‘वानर सीता को अपनी माता के समान देखें।’

Lord Rama said with a smile, ‘Let the monkeys see Sita as their own mother.’
