जिन लोगों का राम के चरणों में सच्चा प्रेम है, वे इस सरोवर को कभी नहीं छोड़ते।

Those who have sincere love for Rama’s feet never abandon this lake.

हे भाई, जो इस सरोवर में स्नान करना चाहता है, वह मन लगाकर सत्संग करे।

Brother, whoever wishes to bathe in this lake should wholeheartedly keep holy company.

ऐसे मानस सरोवर को मन की आँखों से देखकर कवि की बुद्धि उसमें डुबकी लगाती हुई निर्मल हो गई।

Beholding such a Manas lake with the mind’s eyes, the poet’s intellect became pure through immersion in it.

हृदय में आनंद और उत्साह उत्पन्न हुआ; प्रेम और हर्ष का प्रवाह उमड़ पड़ा।

Joy and enthusiasm arose in the heart; a stream of love and delight surged forth.

वह सुंदर कविता-रूपी नदी बह चली, जो राम के निर्मल यश-रूपी जल से भरी थी।

That beautiful river of poetry began to flow, filled with the water of Rama’s pure glory.

उसका नाम सरयू है; वह शुभ मंगल का स्रोत है। लोक और वेद के मत उसके सुंदर तट हैं।

Its name is Sarayu, a source of auspiciousness; worldly and Vedic understandings form its beautiful banks.
