राजा जनक ने विनय करके प्रतिष्ठित लोगों को विदा किया और सभी याचकों को आदर से बुलाया।

King Janaka courteously bade farewell to the distinguished people and respectfully called all the supplicants.

उन्होंने आभूषण, वस्त्र, घोड़े और हाथी दिए तथा प्रेमपूर्वक सबको संतुष्ट और संपन्न किया।

He gave ornaments, garments, horses, and elephants, lovingly satisfying and enriching them all.

बार-बार प्रशस्तियाँ कहते हुए सभी राम को हृदय में रखकर लौट गए।

Repeatedly reciting praises, they all returned with Rama held in their hearts.

कोसल के राजा दशरथ बार-बार लौटने को कहते हैं, पर जनक प्रेम के वश होकर लौटना नहीं चाहते।

Dasharatha, king of Kosala, repeatedly asks Janaka to turn back, but Janaka, overcome by affection, does not wish to return.

फिर राजा दशरथ ने मधुर शब्द कहे: ‘हे राजन्, अब लौटिए; आप बहुत दूर आ गए हैं।’

Then King Dasharatha spoke graciously: “O king, please turn back; you have come a very long way.”

तब राजा दशरथ फिर उतरकर खड़े हो गए; उनके नेत्रों में प्रेम के आँसुओं का प्रवाह बढ़ चला।

Then King Dasharatha dismounted again and stood; the flow of loving tears swelled in his eyes.
