वही करनी विभीषण की भी थी; पर राम ने सपने में भी उसे अपने हृदय में नहीं देखा।

Vibhishana's conduct was the same; yet Rama did not regard that fault in his heart, even in a dream.

भरत से मिलते समय राम ने उन दोनों को सम्मान दिया और राजसभा में उनकी प्रशंसा की।

When meeting Bharata, Rama honored those two and praised them in the royal assembly.

प्रभु वृक्ष के नीचे थे और वानर डाल पर; फिर भी उन्होंने उन वानरों को अपने समान बना दिया।

The Lord was beneath the tree and the monkeys on its branches; yet he made them equal to himself.

तुलसी कहते हैं: राम जैसा शील का भंडार स्वामी कहीं नहीं है।

Tulsidas says: nowhere is there a master like Rama, a treasury of gracious virtue.

हे राम, आपकी भलाई सबके लिए भली है।

Rama, your goodness brings good to everyone.

यदि यह बात सदा सत्य है, तो तुलसी का भी भला होगा।

If this is always true, then Tulsidas too will fare well.

इस प्रकार अपने गुण और दोष कहकर, फिर सबको सिर नवाकर—

Having thus stated my own virtues and faults, and again bowed my head to everyone—

मैं रघुश्रेष्ठ राम के निर्मल यश का वर्णन करता हूँ, जिसे सुनने से कलियुग का कलुष मिट जाता है।

I recount the spotless glory of Rama, foremost of Raghu's line; hearing it dispels the impurity of the Kali age.
