मुनि ने कहा, ‘हे विवेकी राजा, सुनो। विवाह धनुष की शर्त पर निर्भर था।’

The sage said, ‘Listen, O discerning king. The marriage depended on the condition concerning the bow.’

‘धनुष टूटते ही विवाह निश्चित हो गया; यह देवताओं, मनुष्यों और नागों—सभी को ज्ञात है।’

‘The moment the bow broke, the marriage was settled; this is known to all—gods, humans, and nagas.’

‘फिर भी अब तुम जाकर अपने वंश की रीति के अनुसार विवाह के व्यवहार करो।’

‘Nevertheless, now go and carry out the wedding observances according to your lineage’s customs.’

‘ब्राह्मणों, कुल के वृद्धों और गुरु से पूछकर वेदों में बताए हुए आचार का पालन करो।’

‘Consult the Brahmins, family elders, and preceptor, and follow the observances prescribed in the Vedas.’
