हे नाथ, ऐसा जानकर आज्ञा दीजिए; मैं कौतुक करूँ और आप उसे देखिए।

My lord, knowing this, give your command; let me perform this feat, and watch it.

मैं धनुष को कमल की डंडी की तरह चढ़ा दूँ और उसे लेकर सौ योजन की दूरी तक दौड़ जाऊँ।

I could string the bow as easily as a lotus stalk and run with it for a hundred yojanas.

हे नाथ, आपके प्रताप के बल से मैं इसे छत्र की डंडी की तरह तोड़ दूँ।

My lord, through the strength of your might, I could break it like the shaft of a parasol.

यदि मैं ऐसा न कर सकूँ, तो प्रभु के चरणों की शपथ है कि फिर हाथ में धनुष और तरकश नहीं धरूँगा।

If I fail to do this, I swear by my lord’s feet that I will never again take bow and quiver in hand.
