जहाँ सभा में रघुवंशियों में से कोई उपस्थित हो, वहाँ कोई ऐसी बात नहीं कहता।

In an assembly where any descendant of Raghu is present, no one speaks in such a manner.

जैसी अनुचित वाणी जनक ने रघुकुल के मणि राम को उपस्थित जानते हुए कही।

Such were the improper words Janaka spoke, knowing that Rama, the jewel of Raghu’s lineage, was present.

हे सूर्यवंशरूपी कमल के सूर्य राम, सुनिए! मैं अपने स्वभाव के अनुसार कहता हूँ; इसमें कुछ भी अभिमान नहीं है।

Listen, Rama, sun to the lotus of the solar lineage! I speak according to my nature, with no conceit at all.

यदि आपकी आज्ञा पाऊँ, तो ब्रह्मांड को गेंद की तरह उठा लूँ।

If I receive your command, I could lift the universe like a ball.

उसे कच्चे घड़े की तरह फोड़ डालूँ और मेरु पर्वत को मूली की तरह तोड़ सकूँ।

I could shatter it like an unbaked pot and break Mount Meru like a radish.

हे भगवान, यह आपके प्रताप की महिमा है; फिर यह बेचारा पुराना पिनाक धनुष क्या चीज है?

Lord, such is the greatness of your might; what, then, is this poor old Pinaka bow?
