यदि छवि के अमृत का समुद्र हो और वही परम सौंदर्य कच्छप बने—

If there were an ocean of the nectar of loveliness, and supreme beauty itself became the tortoise—

शोभा रस्सी बने, शृंगार मंदर पर्वत बने, और कामदेव अपने कमल जैसे हाथों से मंथन करें—

If splendor became the rope, adornment the Mandara mountain, and the god of love churned with his own lotus-like hands—

जब इस प्रकार सुंदरता और सुख की मूल लक्ष्मी उत्पन्न हों—

When a Lakshmi who is the source of beauty and joy arose in this way—

तब भी कवि संकोच के साथ ही उन्हें सीता के बराबर कहेंगे।

Even then, poets would only hesitantly call her equal to Sita.
