सीता की शोभा का वर्णन नहीं किया जा सकता। वे जगत की माता और सौंदर्य तथा गुणों की खान हैं।

Sita’s beauty cannot be described. She is the Mother of the universe, a treasury of beauty and virtues.

सभी उपमाएँ मुझे तुच्छ लगीं, क्योंकि वे साधारण स्त्रियों के अंगों के सौंदर्य से जुड़ी हैं।

All comparisons seemed inadequate to me, being attached to the bodily beauty of ordinary women.

उन्हीं उपमाओं को देकर सीता का वर्णन करे और बुरा कवि कहलाकर अपयश ले—ऐसा कौन करेगा?

Who would describe Sita through those very comparisons and earn disgrace by being called a poor poet?

सरस्वती अधिक बोलने वाली हैं; भवानी का शरीर आधा है। रति अपने पति को शरीरहीन जानकर अत्यंत दुखी हैं।

Saraswati is loquacious; Bhavani has half a body. Rati is deeply distressed, knowing her husband to be bodiless.

जिन लक्ष्मी को विष और मदिरा प्रिय बंधु हैं, उनके समान सीता को कैसे कहा जाए?

How could Sita be called equal to Lakshmi, whose dear kin are poison and wine?
