एक सखी सीता का साथ छोड़कर फूलों की वाटिका देखने गई हुई थी।

One companion had left Sita’s company and gone to see the flower garden.

उस सखी ने वहाँ जाकर दोनों भाइयों को देखा और प्रेम से अभिभूत होकर सीता के पास आई।

Having gone there, that companion saw the two brothers and returned to Sita, overwhelmed with love.

सखियों ने उसकी दशा देखी—शरीर रोमांचित था और आँखों में आँसू थे।

The companions saw her state: her body thrilled with goosebumps and her eyes filled with tears.

सब सखियाँ कोमल वचनों में पूछने लगीं, ‘अपने आनंद का कारण बताओ।’

All the companions asked gently, ‘Tell us the reason for your joy.’
