सब शौच-कर्म करके दोनों भाई जाकर नहाए। नित्यकर्म पूरे करके उन्होंने मुनि को सिर नवाया।

After attending to all bodily cleansing, the two brothers went and bathed. Completing their daily observances, they bowed their heads to the sage.

उचित समय जानकर और गुरु की अनुमति पाकर दोनों भाई फूल लेने चले।

Recognizing the proper time and obtaining their teacher’s permission, the two brothers set out to gather flowers.

जाकर उन्होंने राजा का सुंदर बाग देखा, जहाँ वसंत ऋतु अपनी छटा से लुभा रही थी।

They went and saw the king’s splendid garden, where spring was enchanting with its beauty.

वहाँ अनेक प्रकार के मनोहर वृक्ष लगे थे और तरह-तरह की सुंदर लताओं के मंडप थे।

Many kinds of lovely trees grew there, with canopies of beautiful creepers of varied kinds and colors.

नई कोंपलें, फल और फूल सुंदर लग रहे थे; अपनी समृद्ध शोभा से वृक्ष देवताओं के वृक्षों को भी लजा रहे थे।

Fresh shoots, fruits, and flowers looked lovely; with their own rich beauty, the trees put even celestial trees to shame.

चातक, कोयल, तोते और चकोर जैसे पक्षी कूज रहे थे, और सुंदर मोर नाच रहे थे।

Birds such as pied cuckoos, cuckoos, parrots, and chukor partridges were calling, while graceful peacocks danced.
