बालकाण्ड 1.207

तब राजा ने मन में प्रसन्न होकर कहा, ‘हे मुनि, आपने पहले कभी ऐसी कृपा नहीं की।’

Then the king, glad at heart, said, ‘O sage, you have never before shown such kindness.’

‘आप किस कारण आए हैं? बताइए; वह कार्य करने में मैं देर नहीं लगाऊँगा।’

‘For what reason have you come? Tell me; I shall not delay in carrying out that task.’

मुनि ने कहा, ‘राक्षसों के समूह मुझे सताते हैं। हे राजा, मैं आपसे याचना करने आया हूँ।’

The sage said, ‘Bands of demons torment me. O king, I have come to make a request of you.’

‘राम को उनके छोटे भाई सहित मेरे साथ भेज दीजिए। राक्षसों के वध से मैं संरक्षित हो जाऊँगा।’

‘Send Rama with his younger brother with me. Through the slaying of the demons, I shall have protection.’

‘हे राजा, प्रसन्न मन से उन्हें दीजिए; मोह और अज्ञान छोड़ दीजिए।’

‘O king, give them with a glad heart; abandon attachment and ignorance.’

‘हे स्वामी, इससे आपको धर्म और उत्तम यश मिलेगा तथा इन दोनों का अत्यंत कल्याण होगा।’

‘My lord, this will bring you religious merit and good renown, and bring great welfare to these two.’
