जब राजा दशरथ ने मुनि विश्वामित्र के आगमन का समाचार सुना, तो ब्राह्मणों के समुदाय को साथ लेकर उनसे मिलने गए।

When King Dasharatha heard of sage Vishvamitra’s arrival, he went to meet him with a company of Brahmins.

दंडवत प्रणाम करके राजा ने मुनि का सम्मान किया और उन्हें लाकर अपने आसन पर बैठाया।

The king prostrated himself, honored the sage, and brought him in and seated him on his own seat.

मुनि के चरण धोकर राजा ने बड़े आदर से पूजा की और कहा, ‘आज मेरे समान धन्य दूसरा कोई नहीं है।’

The king washed the sage’s feet and worshipped him with great reverence, saying, ‘Today no one else is as blessed as I am.’

राजा ने मुनि को विविध प्रकार का भोजन कराया; श्रेष्ठ मुनि ने हृदय में अत्यंत आनंद पाया।

The king served the sage food of various kinds, and the eminent sage felt great joy in his heart.

फिर राजा ने अपने चारों पुत्रों को मुनि के चरणों में प्रणाम कराया। राम को देखकर मुनि अपने शरीर की सुध भूल गए।

Then the king had his four sons bow at the sage’s feet. Seeing Rama, the sage forgot his bodily awareness.

राम के मुख की शोभा देखते हुए मुनि मग्न हो गए, मानो चकोर पूर्ण चंद्रमा पर मोहित हो गया हो।

Gazing at the beauty of Rama’s face, the sage became absorbed, like a chakora bird captivated by the full moon.
