शिशु के रोने की अत्यंत प्रिय ध्वनि सुनकर सभी रानियाँ उत्सुकता में शीघ्र चली आईं।

दशरथ ने जब अपने कानों से पुत्र-जन्म का समाचार सुना, तो मानो वे ब्रह्मानंद में समा गए।
