बालकाण्ड 1.121

वे ऐसी अनीति करते हैं जिसका वर्णन नहीं किया जा सकता; ब्राह्मण, गायें, देवता और पृथ्वी दुःख पाते हैं।

They commit wrongs beyond description; Brahmins, cows, gods, and the earth suffer.

तब-तब कृपा के भंडार प्रभु विविध शरीर धारण करके सज्जनों की पीड़ा दूर करते हैं।

On each such occasion, the Lord, the treasure of compassion, assumes various bodily forms and removes the suffering of the virtuous.

असुरों को मारकर प्रभु देवताओं को स्थापित करते हैं और अपनी वेद-निर्धारित मर्यादा की रक्षा करते हैं।

Having slain the demons, the Lord restores the gods and preserves his Veda-established bounds of right conduct.

प्रभु जगत में अपना निर्मल यश फैलाते हैं; यही राम के जन्म का हेतु है।

The Lord spreads his pure glory throughout the world; this is the purpose of Rama’s birth.
