सांसारिक लोगों के गुणों का गान किए जाने पर वाणी सिर पीटकर पछताने लगती है।

When the virtues of worldly people are sung, Speech beats her head and begins to regret it.

ज्ञानी कहते हैं कि हृदय समुद्र के समान, बुद्धि सीप के समान और सरस्वती स्वाति के समान हैं।

The wise say that the heart is like an ocean, the intellect like an oyster, and Saraswati like Swati.

यदि उत्तम विचार रूपी जल बरसे, तो सुंदर कविता रूपी मोती बनते हैं।

If the excellent water of thoughtful reflection rains down, beautiful pearls of poetry are formed.

उन मोतियों को युक्ति से छेदकर फिर रामचरित रूपी उत्तम धागे में पिरोया जाता है।

Those pearls are skillfully pierced and then strung on the excellent thread of Rama’s story.

सज्जन उन्हें अपने निर्मल हृदय पर पहनते हैं; अत्यंत अनुराग से उनकी शोभा होती है।

Good people wear them over their pure hearts, where they shine with deep loving attachment.
