अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.75

तुम्हारे लिए वन हर प्रकार से सुखद होगा, क्योंकि तुम्हारे साथ राम और सीता रूपी पिता-माता होंगे।

The forest will be comfortable for you in every way, since Rama and Sita, your father and mother, will be with you.

बेटा, वही करना जिससे राम को वन में कष्ट न हो; यही मेरा उपदेश है।

Son, do whatever will keep Rama from suffering in the forest; this is my counsel.

बेटा, उपदेश यही है कि तुम्हारी सेवा से राम और सीता सुख पाएँ।

Dear son, this is the counsel: through your service, may Rama and Sita find comfort.

और वन में उन्हें पिता, माता, प्रिय परिवार तथा नगर के सुखों की याद भुला दो।

And in the forest, help them forget the remembrance of their father, mother, dear family, and the comforts of the city.

तुलसी कहते हैं: माता ने प्रभु लक्ष्मण को सीख देकर जाने की अनुमति दी और फिर आशीर्वाद दिया।

Tulsidas says: after instructing Lord Lakshmana, his mother gave him permission to leave and then blessed him.

सीता और श्रीराम के चरणों में तुम्हारा प्रेम अखंड, निर्मल और प्रतिदिन नया बना रहे।

May your love for the feet of Sita and Rama remain unbroken, pure, and ever renewed each day.

माता के चरणों में सिर झुकाकर लक्ष्मण तुरंत चले, हृदय में आशंका लिए हुए।

Bowing his head at his mother’s feet, Lakshmana left at once, with apprehension in his heart.

मानो कोई हिरन सौभाग्यवश कठिन जाल तुड़ाकर भाग निकला हो।

As though a deer had, through good fortune, broken free of a formidable snare and fled.
