अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.75

जगत में वही स्त्री सचमुच पुत्रवती है जिसका पुत्र श्रीराम का भक्त हो।

Only that woman whose son is devoted to Rama is truly blessed with a son in this world.

नहीं तो बाँझ होना ही अच्छा है; राम से विमुख पुत्र को जन्म देना व्यर्थ है—ऐसे पुत्र की अपेक्षा निःसंतान रहना हितकर जानो।

Otherwise, remaining childless is better; bearing a son who turns away from Rama is futile. Know childlessness to be preferable to such a son.

तुम्हारे ही सौभाग्य से राम वन जा रहे हैं; बेटा, इसका कोई दूसरा कारण नहीं है।

It is because of your good fortune alone that Rama is going to the forest; dear son, there is no other cause.

सभी पुण्य कर्मों का बड़ा फल यही है कि राम और सीता के चरणों में स्वाभाविक प्रेम हो।

The great reward of all virtuous deeds is this: natural love for the feet of Rama and Sita.

आसक्ति, क्रोध, ईर्ष्या, अभिमान और मोह—इनके वश में स्वप्न में भी मत होना।

Do not fall under the sway of attachment, anger, envy, pride, or delusion, even in a dream.

सब प्रकार के विकार छोड़कर मन, कर्म और वचन से सेवा करना।

Abandon every kind of inner fault and serve through thought, deed, and speech.
