अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.6

माता कहती हैं, यदि सीता घर में रहें तो मुझे बहुत सहारा होगा।

The mother says, ‘If Sita stays at home, she will be a great support to me.’

राम ने माता की प्रिय वाणी सुनी, जो मानो शील और स्नेह के अमृत में सनी हुई थी।

Rama heard his mother’s loving words, as though steeped in the nectar of graciousness and affection.

राम ने विवेकपूर्ण प्रिय वचन कहकर माता को संतुष्ट किया।

By speaking kind words full of discernment, Rama reassured his mother.

फिर राम वन के गुण और दोष स्पष्ट करके जानकी को समझाने लगे।

Then Rama began to counsel Janaki, explaining the advantages and hardships of the forest.
