अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.48

कुछ लोग हाथों से कान बंद करके और दाँतों से जीभ दबाकर कहते हैं कि यह बात झूठी है।

Some cover their ears with their hands and hold their tongues between their teeth, saying that this claim is false.

ऐसा कहने से तुम्हारे पुण्य नष्ट होते हैं; राम भरत को प्राणों के समान प्यारे हैं।

By saying such things you lose your merit; Rama is as dear to Bharata as his own life.

भले ही चंद्रमा आग के कण बरसाने लगे और अमृत विष के समान हो जाए—

Even if the moon were to shower particles of fire and nectar become like poison—

तब भी भरत कभी स्वप्न में भी राम के विरुद्ध कुछ नहीं करेंगे।

Even then, Bharata would never do anything against Rama, not even in a dream.
