मेरे मन में एक बड़ी अभिलाषा है, पर भय और संकोच के कारण कही नहीं जाती।

I have one great wish in my heart, but fear and hesitation keep me from expressing it.

राम ने कहा, ‘कहो, तात।’ प्रभु की अनुमति पाकर भरत स्नेहभरी सुंदर वाणी में बोले।

Rama said, ‘Speak, dear one.’ Receiving his lord’s permission, Bharata spoke in lovely, affectionate words.

चित्रकूट के पवित्र स्थल, तीर्थ, वन, पक्षी, वन्य पशु, सरोवर, नदियाँ, झरने और पर्वतसमूह—

Chitrakuta’s sacred places, pilgrimage sites, forests, birds, wild animals, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and groups of hills—

विशेषकर प्रभु के चरणचिह्नों से अंकित भूमि—यदि अनुमति हो, तो इन्हें देखकर लौट आऊँ।

Especially the ground marked by my lord’s footprints—if permitted, I would go see these and return.

राम ने कहा, ‘अवश्य; अत्रि की आज्ञा सिर पर धारण करो। प्रिय भाई, निर्भय होकर वन में विचरो।’

Rama said, ‘Certainly; honor Atri’s instruction. Dear brother, roam the forest without fear.’

हे भाई, मुनि की कृपा से यह वन मंगल देने वाला, पवित्र और अत्यंत सुंदर है।

Brother, through the sage’s grace this forest bestows blessings and is sacred and exceedingly lovely.
