Both brothers bowed at the feet of the guru’s wife and the Brahmin women who had come with her.

उन्होंने सबका गंगा और गौरी के समान सम्मान किया। वे प्रसन्न होकर कोमल वाणी में आशीर्वाद देती हैं।

They honored all the women as they would Ganga and Gauri. The women joyfully gave blessings in gentle words.

चरण पकड़कर दोनों भाई सुमित्रा की गोद से लग गए, मानो अत्यंत निर्धन को संपत्ति मिल गई हो।

Clasping her feet, the brothers nestled into Sumitra’s lap, as though someone utterly poor had found wealth.

फिर दोनों भाई माता कौसल्या के चरणों में गिर पड़े; प्रेम से उनका पूरा शरीर व्याकुल था।

Then both brothers fell at Mother Kaushalya’s feet, their entire bodies overwhelmed with love.

माता ने अत्यंत स्नेह से उन्हें हृदय से लगा लिया और आँखों के प्रेमभरे आँसुओं से नहला दिया।

Their mother embraced them with immense affection and bathed them in the loving tears of her eyes.

उस अवसर के हर्ष और विषाद को कवि कैसे कहे? वह तो मूक व्यक्ति के स्वाद अनुभव करने जैसा अकथनीय है।

How can a poet describe the joy and sorrow of that moment? They are as inexpressible as a mute person’s experience of taste.
