सेवक की सब बातें सत्य जानकर वे आश्रम के पास गए और निकट पहुँच गए।

Finding all the servant’s words true, they went toward the hermitage and drew close.

भरत ने वन और पर्वतों का समूह देखा और ऐसे प्रसन्न हुए मानो कोई भूखा उत्तम अन्न पाकर प्रसन्न हो।

Bharata saw the forest and the gathered hills and rejoiced like a hungry person finding good grain.

मानो विपत्तियों और भय से दुखी प्रजा, तीन प्रकार के तापों, ग्रहों के अनिष्ट और महामारी से पीड़ित हो—

As though a people distressed by calamities and fear, afflicted by the three kinds of suffering, adverse planetary influences, and pestilence—

अच्छे शासन वाले अच्छे देश में जाकर सुखी हो जाए; भरत की दशा उसी के समान हुई।

Might become happy on reaching a good land under good rule; Bharata’s condition was like theirs.

राम के निवास से वन की समृद्धि शोभित हुई, मानो प्रजा अच्छा राजा पाकर सुखी हो गई हो।

With Rama dwelling there, the forest’s riches shone, like a people made happy by gaining a good king.

वैराग्य मंत्री है, विवेक राजा है और सुहावना वन पवित्र देश है।

Dispassion is the minister, discernment the king, and the lovely forest the sacred realm.
