क्रोध जताने का सारा सामान और रूप सजाकर वह सो रही थी; राजसुख भोगते हुए अपनी दुर्बुद्धि से उसने अपना अहित कर लिया।

Having arranged all the outward signs of anger, she lay asleep; while enjoying royal privilege, she brought ruin upon herself through her own misguided thinking.

राजमहल और नगर में कोलाहल हो रहा था; इस दुष्ट चाल के बारे में किसी को कुछ भी पता नहीं था।

The palace and city were abuzz; no one knew anything of this wicked intrigue.

नगर के पुरुष और स्त्रियाँ अत्यंत प्रसन्न थे; सभी शुभ मंगलाचार की तैयारियाँ कर रहे थे।

The men and women of the city were delighted; all were preparing auspicious observances.

कुछ लोग भीतर प्रवेश कर रहे थे, कुछ बाहर निकल रहे थे; राजा के दरबार में भीड़ थी।

Some were entering and others leaving; the king’s court was crowded.
