‘जब राजा राम की शपथ लें, तब वरदान माँगना, जिससे वे अपने वचन से न हटें।’

‘When the king swears by Rama, ask for the boons, so that he cannot go back on his word.’

‘आज की रात बीत जाने पर काम बिगड़ जाएगा; मेरी बात को हितकारी मानकर मन से स्वीकार करना।’

‘Once tonight has passed, the plan will fail; regard my words as well-meant and accept them wholeheartedly.’

बड़ा अनिष्टकारी दाँव करके पापिनी मंथरा ने कहा, ‘कोपभवन में जाओ।’

Having made a deeply harmful move, the sinful Manthara said, ‘Go to the chamber of anger.’

‘सावधान रहकर सारा काम सँभालना; तुरंत किसी बात पर विश्वास मत कर लेना।’

‘Stay alert and see the whole plan through; do not trust anything too readily.’
