भरत ने निषादराज को अगुआ बनाया और माताओं की सभी पालकियाँ चलवा दीं।

Bharata made the Nishada chief the guide and had all the mothers’ palanquins set off.

भरत ने छोटे भाई को बुलाकर माताओं के साथ भेज दिया। गुरु ने ब्राह्मणों सहित प्रस्थान किया।

Bharata called his younger brother and sent him along with the mothers. The preceptor departed with the Brahmins.

भरत ने स्वयं गंगा को प्रणाम किया और लक्ष्मण सहित सीता और राम का स्मरण किया।

Bharata himself bowed to the Ganges and remembered Sita and Rama together with Lakshmana.

भरत पैदल चल पड़े; सवारी के घोड़े लगाम से पकड़कर उनके साथ ले जाए जा रहे थे।

Bharata set out on foot; riding horses were led alongside him by their reins.

अच्छे सेवक बार-बार कहते हैं, ‘स्वामी, घोड़े पर सवार हो जाइए।’

The devoted attendants repeatedly say, ‘Master, please mount a horse.’

भरत कहते हैं, ‘राम पैदल पाँवों से चले गए, और मेरे लिए रथ, हाथी और घोड़े तैयार किए गए हैं!’

Bharata says, ‘Rama went away on foot, yet chariots, elephants, and horses have been readied for me!’
