यह आश्चर्य नहीं है; युग-युग से ऐसा होता आया है। रघुवीर ने किसे बड़ाई नहीं दी?

This is no surprise; it has been so through the ages. Whom has Rama not granted honor?

देवता राम-नाम की महिमा कहते हैं; उसे बार-बार सुनकर अयोध्या के लोग सुख पाते हैं।

The gods recount the glory of Rama’s name; hearing it repeatedly, the people of Ayodhya find joy.

भरत ने राम के मित्र निषादराज से प्रेमपूर्वक मिलकर उनकी कुशलता, मंगल और क्षेम पूछा।

Bharata met Rama’s friend, the Nishada chief, with affection and asked about his well-being, welfare, and safety.

भरत का शील और स्नेह देखकर निषादराज उस समय देह की सुध भूल गए।

Seeing Bharata’s gentle character and affection, the Nishada chief lost awareness of his body at that moment.

उनके मन में संकोच, स्नेह और आनंद बढ़ गया; वे खड़े हुए भरत को एकटक निहारते रहे।

Shyness, affection, and joy grew in his heart; he stood gazing steadily at Bharata.

फिर धैर्य सँभालकर और चरणों में प्रणाम करके, वे हाथ जोड़कर प्रेमपूर्वक विनय करने लगे।

Then, regaining composure and bowing at Bharata’s feet, he made a loving, humble address with folded hands.
