अयोध्याकाण्ड 2.121

उनके सुंदर रूप का वर्णन सुनकर वे व्याकुल होकर पूछते हैं, ‘भाई, अब तक वे कहाँ तक पहुँच गए होंगे?’

Hearing of their beautiful appearance, they anxiously ask, ‘Brother, how far have they gone by now?’

जो समर्थ हैं, वे दौड़कर वहाँ जाते और उन्हें देखते हैं; जीवन का फल पाकर अत्यंत प्रसन्न होकर लौटते हैं।

Those able to do so run there and see them; having gained the fulfillment of their lives, they return delighted.

असमर्थ स्त्रियाँ, बच्चे और वृद्ध लोग हाथ मलते हुए पछताते हैं।

Women unable to go, children, and elderly people wring their hands in regret.

राम जहाँ-जहाँ जाते हैं, वहाँ लोग इसी प्रकार प्रेम के वश हो जाते हैं।

Wherever Rama goes, people become overcome with love in this way.
