जब वे चलते हुए किसी गाँव के निकट से निकलते, तो स्त्री-पुरुष दौड़कर उनके दर्शन करते।

Whenever they passed near a village, women and men hurried over to behold them.

वे जीवन का फल पाकर अपने को सनाथ अनुभव करते; फिर अपना मन उनके साथ भेजकर विरह से दुखी लौटते।

Having attained the fruit of life, they felt blessed with a protector; then they returned sorrowful at parting, sending their minds along with them.

राम ने ब्रह्मचारी शिष्यों को विदा किया। वे विनय करके, अपने मन की इच्छा पूरी पाकर लौट गए।

Rama bade the young students farewell. After offering their humble respects, they returned with their hearts’ desire fulfilled.

राम ने उतरकर यमुना के जल में स्नान किया, जो उनके शरीर के समान श्याम था।

Rama went down and bathed in the Yamuna’s waters, which were dark like his body.
