जो धर्म का विचार और कुल की मर्यादा का ध्यान करके संयम में रहती है, वह निम्न श्रेणी की स्त्री है—श्रुति ऐसा कहती है।

A woman who remains restrained out of regard for duty and family honor belongs to the lower category, so scripture says.

जो अवसर न मिलने या भय के कारण ही संयम में रहती है, उसे संसार की अधम स्त्री जानो।
