अरण्यकाण्ड 3.41

मैं जाकर ऐसे प्रभु के दर्शन करूँ; ऐसा अवसर फिर आकर नहीं बनेगा।

Let me go and behold such a Lord; an opportunity like this will not come about again.

यह विचार कर नारद हाथ में वीणा लिए वहाँ गए, जहाँ प्रभु सुखपूर्वक बैठे थे।

Thinking this, Narada went with a lute in hand to where the Lord was seated at ease.

नारद मधुर वाणी में राम के चरित्र गाते और प्रेम सहित अनेक प्रकार से उनका वर्णन करते जा रहे थे।

Narada sang Rama’s deeds in a gentle voice, lovingly recounting them in many ways.

नारद के दंडवत करते ही राम ने उन्हें उठा लिया और बार-बार हृदय से लगाकर रखा।

As Narada prostrated, Rama lifted him up and repeatedly held him to his heart.

राम ने स्वागत करते हुए कुशल पूछी और नारद को पास बैठाया; लक्ष्मण ने आदरपूर्वक उनके चरण धोए।

Rama welcomed Narada, asked after his welfare, and seated him nearby; Lakshmana respectfully washed his feet.

अनेक प्रकार से विनती करके और मन में प्रभु को प्रसन्न जानकर—

After making entreaties in many ways and recognizing in his heart that the Lord was pleased—

तब नारद अपने कमल-समान हाथ जोड़कर ये वचन बोले।

Then Narada joined his lotus-like hands and spoke these words.
