अरण्यकाण्ड 3.34

उनके नेत्र कमल जैसे और भुजाएँ विशाल थीं; सिर पर जटाओं का मुकुट और वक्ष पर वनफूलों की माला थी।

Their eyes were lotus-like and their arms mighty; crowns of matted hair adorned their heads, and garlands of forest flowers their chests.

दोनों भाई सुंदर थे—राम श्याम और लक्ष्मण गौर; शबरी उनके चरणों से लिपटकर गिर पड़ी।

Both brothers were beautiful—Rama dark and Lakshmana fair; Shabari fell at their feet, clasping them.

प्रेम में मग्न शबरी के मुख से शब्द न निकले; वह बार-बार उनके चरण-कमलों पर सिर झुकाती रही।

Absorbed in love, Shabari could utter no words; she repeatedly bowed her head at their lotus feet.

उसने आदरपूर्वक जल लाकर उनके चरण धोए और फिर उन्हें सुंदर आसन पर बैठाया।

Respectfully bringing water, she washed their feet and then seated them on a fine seat.

शबरी अत्यंत स्वादिष्ट कंद, मूल और फल लाकर राम को दिए।

Shabari brought very delicious tubers, roots, and fruits and offered them to Rama.

प्रभु राम ने बार-बार उनकी प्रशंसा करते हुए उन्हें प्रेम से खाया।

Lord Rama ate them with love, praising them again and again.
