अरण्यकाण्ड 3.27

दिखाई देकर और छिपकर वह बहुत छल करता रहा। इस प्रकार वह प्रभु को दूर ले गया।

Appearing and disappearing, it practiced many deceptions. In this way it led the Lord far away.

तब राम ने निशाना साधकर प्रबल बाण मारा। मारीच भयंकर पुकार करते हुए धरती पर गिर पड़ा।

Then Rama took aim and shot a powerful arrow. Maricha fell to the ground with a terrible cry.

मारीच ने पहले लक्ष्मण का नाम लेकर पुकारा, फिर मन में राम का स्मरण किया।

Maricha first cried out Lakshmana’s name, then remembered Rama in his heart.

प्राण छोड़ते समय मारीच ने अपना वास्तविक शरीर प्रकट किया और प्रेम सहित राम का स्मरण किया।

As he gave up his life, Maricha revealed his own true body and remembered Rama with love.

सुजान राम ने उसके भीतर का प्रेम पहचान लिया और उसे वह गति दी जो मुनियों के लिए भी दुर्लभ है।

The discerning Rama recognized the love within him and granted him a spiritual destination rare even for sages.

देवता बहुत से फूल बरसाते हैं और प्रभु के गुणों की गाथाएँ गाते हैं।

The gods shower abundant flowers and sing accounts of the Lord’s virtues.

दीनों के बंधु रघुनाथ ने उस राक्षस को अपना परम पद प्रदान किया।

Rama, friend of the lowly, granted the demon his own supreme abode.
