अरण्यकाण्ड 3.27

मृग को देखकर राम ने कमर का फेंटा बाँधा, हाथ में धनुष लिया और सुंदर बाण साधा।

Seeing the deer, Rama fastened his waist-sash, took the bow in hand, and readied a fine arrow.

प्रभु ने लक्ष्मण को समझाकर कहा, ‘भाई, वन में बहुत से राक्षस घूमते हैं।’

The Lord instructed Lakshmana, saying, ‘Brother, many demons roam the forest.’

अपनी बुद्धि, विवेक, बल और परिस्थिति का विचार करके सीता की रखवाली करना।

Guard Sita, taking account of your intelligence, discernment, strength, and the circumstances.

प्रभु को देखकर मृग भाग चला। राम धनुष तैयार करके उसके पीछे दौड़े।

Seeing the Lord, the deer fled. Rama ran after it with his bow ready.

जिनके विषय में वेद ‘यह नहीं’ कहते हैं और जिन्हें शिव ध्यान में भी नहीं पा सके, वही मायामृग के पीछे दौड़े।

The very one whom the Vedas describe as ‘not this,’ and whom Shiva could not attain even in meditation, ran after the illusory deer.

मृग कभी पास आता, फिर दूर भाग जाता; कभी दिखाई देता और कभी छिप जाता।

The deer would sometimes come near, then flee far away; sometimes it appeared and sometimes it hid.
