दोनों भाइयों का बल और प्रताप अतुलनीय है। वे दुष्टों के वध में लगे रहते हैं और देवताओं तथा मुनियों को सुख देते हैं।

The two brothers possess incomparable strength and prowess. They are devoted to slaying the wicked and bring happiness to gods and sages.

शोभा के धाम का नाम राम है। उनके साथ एक सुंदर युवती है।

The one who is an abode of beauty is named Rama. A beautiful young woman accompanies them.

विधाता ने उस स्त्री को सौंदर्य की राशि बनाकर सँवारा है; सौ करोड़ रतियाँ भी उस पर न्योछावर हैं।

The Creator has fashioned that woman as a treasury of beauty; even a billion Ratis would offer themselves in homage to her.

राम के छोटे भाई ने मेरे कान और नाक काट दिए; तुम्हारी बहन होने की बात सुनकर वे उपहास करते हैं।

Rama’s younger brother cut off my ears and nose; on hearing that I am your sister, they mock me.

यह सुनकर खर और दूषण ललकारने लगे। क्षण भर में राम ने उनकी सारी सेना मार डाली।

Hearing this, Khara and Dushana began shouting challenges. In a moment, Rama slew their entire army.

खर, दूषण और त्रिशिरा के वध की बात सुनकर दस सिर वाले रावण का सारा शरीर जल उठा।
