ज्ञान वह है जहाँ अभिमान आदि का एक भी अंश नहीं होता और जहाँ सबमें समान रूप से ब्रह्म का दर्शन होता है।

Knowledge is where not even a trace of pride and the like remains, and where Brahman is seen equally in all.

हे प्रिय लक्ष्मण, उसे परम वैरागी कहते हैं जो सिद्धियों और तीनों गुणों को तिनके के समान समझकर त्याग देता है।

Dear Lakshmana, one is called supremely detached who discards extraordinary powers and the three qualities of nature as mere straw.

जो माया, ईश्वर और अपने स्वरूप को नहीं जानता, उसे जीव कहा जाता है।

One who does not know maya, the Lord, or oneself is called the individual soul.

जो बंधन और मोक्ष देने वाला, सबसे परे तथा माया को प्रेरित करने वाला है, वह ईश्वर है।

The Lord is the giver of bondage and liberation, beyond all, and the impeller of maya.
